Activities

For guests who wish to learn about the cultural aspects of Ghana, we have a variety of activities on offer including African Drumming, African Dancing, Tie & Dye and Batik. These activities are available to our guests for a small fee, by booking in advance.


African Drumming and Dancing lessons
There are local beaches at Iture and Elmina both a short distance away, as well as at Ampenyi and Brenu - Akyinim which can be reached by a 15 minute car ride.	Ampenyi Beach
On offer are a variety of activities for guests who wish to learn about Ghana’s history and culture, including visits to places of interest such as:
Cape Coast Castle	Elmina Castle
Cape Coast Castle Dungeons and Elmina Castle Dungeons where African slaves were kept before being transported to the Americas and the Caribbean .
Kakum National Park offers a treetop canopy walkway above the undisturbed virgin rainforest, home to many of Ghana‘s indigenous plant life.	Canopy Walk in the Kakum National Park
Sonia meditating by the river	Assin Manso reverential garden, located at the river where the slaves were given their last bath before being taken to Cape Coast and Elmina Castle dungeons. The mortal remains of a Jamaican, Crystal, who dedicated her life to fighting racism and Samuel Carson, an African American naval officer from the U.S.A. were both buried at Assin Manso in August 1998 as a prelude to Emancipation Day.
Wassa Domama Rock Shrine, a natural wonder, is an awe inspiring rock monolith that reaches three stories high. The rock was once used as a shrine for religious practices but currently no such activities take place there	Wassa Domama Rock Shrine
For the sports enthusiast there is a tennis and a squash court at a nearby hotel, as well as a gym and a swimming pool- all available to our guests for a fee. Golf and Horse Riding are also available locally.
*THERAPIES*
The Almond Tree Guest House has its own treatment room for those guests who would like to relax and pamper themselves during their stay. All Treatments are conducted in a tranquil and private environment overlooking the ocean, with the fragrant smell of essential oils and the serene sound of healing music to relax and soothe the senses.
